Cupcake bliss

It is the end of the week, so over at Meljen's Designs it is was New Release day ! Melissa inked up some lovely new designs to celebrate the new year.

I went ahead and picked my go-to image - a cupcake. :D Melissa's cupcakes are just a dream to color, so easy and it sure is low on calories! This guy is called Frosty Winter Cupcake and I did something a bit new with him. I colored him predominantly with my Spectrum Noirs. I have such issues with bleeding with the SN's that I decided I needed to practice, hence why I chose my go-to image theme.

The blue cardstock on the bottom was dry embossed with my Regal Swirl embossing folder from Crafter's Companion. It is soo gorgeous, although I had to cut the folder down to be able to fit in my Big Shot. It did, however, leave a nice strip that I can use for borders. :D

So, take a look at what the DT created over this holiday. We were tasked to take a break, however with such yummy new images, we just had to create something. :)
