Origins: Auria was born and raised in Alder Springs, living with her mother and grandmother after the two women left the Golmorian Jungle. Both were accomplished Green Witches of the Wood, and Auria grew up surrounded by the whispers of elementals, the language of plants, and the currents of aether that permeate the Shroud. Her Viera senses, already heightened by nature, were uniquely attuned to these energies.

Formative Events: A mix of green and white witch, Auria grew into a love of botany and alchemy, eventually turning those skills toward a singular ambition: discovering a new energy source beyond what conventional scholarship had catalogued. While most scholars were content with Aether, Auria became convinced something lay beyond it — something unnamed, unproven, and waiting. This conviction drove her to leave home as an adventurer. Years of wandering brought her to the theory of Dynamis — and yet even that was not enough to satisfy her.

The Road to Now: It is the pursuit of her research that has led Auria into the darker corners of Eorzean life. Following the thread of her own inexplicable inner energy, she has fallen, somewhat willingly, into hedonistic circles and morally ambiguous company — all in the name of understanding what she carries inside her. She is an adventurer, an oracle, a dancer, and a woman who has decided the answers are worth any price.

Skills: Oracle readings and an intuitive understanding of energy flow make her a gifted medium. As a Green Witch she can commune with elementals and read the natural world; she is an accomplished herbalist and alchemist. She also has basic life skills: leatherworking, carpentry, and cooking.

Secret: The energy within her own body — the force she has spent years chasing through research and hedonism — remains unexplained even to her. She does not fully understand what she is, and that terrifies her more than anything she has encountered in Eorzea.

World: Final Fantasy XIV — a world of vast continents, ancient civilizations, and an ongoing battle against the forces of the Ascians and the lingering consequences of the Calamity. Magic (Aether) is the fundamental force of existence in Eorzea, though the recent discovery of Dynamis has complicated that understanding. Auria moves through Eorzea as an independent adventurer, not affiliated with any grand company. She is known in certain circles as an oracle and medium, and her Green Witch heritage gives her standing among those who understand the old ways.
